One of my favorite hikes. The 5 Lakes hike Pizol in the canton of St. Gallen. An absolute highlight every time. I've walked this route countless times, but the panorama is unique every single time =) Today we started the route from Wangs. From there, a gondola and then two chairlifts will take you to the Pizol Hut at 2227 m. Once the equipment is ready, we'll set off for the Wildseel\u00fccke (2493 m). Oh, by the way, before I forget. If you want to see the first lake, the Wangsersee, you have to turn left briefly and walk up the hill for a few minutes. That's where it's hidden. Since it's not really worth seeing... I always skip it. So, I'm actually only ever doing a 4-lake hike *g*<\/p>\n

5 Lakes Hike<\/h2>\n

After the Wildseel\u00fccke, you have a beautiful view of the ... Wildsee \ud83d\ude42 You can take a first break there, as the first ascent is quite strenuous. Continue slightly downhill to the third lake, the Schottensee, my favorite lake. I always take a longer break there and enjoy the view. This time was no exception.<\/p>\n

Continue over the Schwarzplangg to the Schwarzsee, where you can also take a pleasant stroll around if you still have excess energy. From here, it's only an ascent, so you'll soon be done with the hike. On the way to Baschalvasee at 2174 m, you'll pass a whole lot of legendary little stone figures. We took another break here and enjoyed the view of the Rhine Valley. You rest directly above Sargans and look towards Lake Constance, which you can't see. Instead, you look directly at the summit of the Gonzen.<\/p>\n

Anyway, from here on the 5-lake hike at Pizol is practically only downhill *g* Via Gamidaur, you reach the Baschalvasee (see above) and walk down and down and down. It goes down several hundred meters before you reach the Gaffia station. There you have the opportunity to stop for a delicious barley soup, yummy!<\/p>\n

    Alternative<\/h2>\n

    You can also start the tour in Bad Ragaz and take the gondola there. The Laufb\u00f6den chairlift then takes you to the summit. From there, you walk for about 30 minutes to the Pizolh\u00fctte. So, allow for about 1 hour longer there.<\/p>\n
