USA Day 2: Seattle 3:30 AM, MORNING! Time for a relaxed coffee in the hotel lobby. Both feeling great and well-rested. Thanks, jet lag. After another two hours of waiting, we started the day with a hearty American breakfast, meaning watery coffee, toast, and peanut butter.<\/p>\n
Around 6 AM back in the room, we got ready for a day of sightseeing.
\n1. Station: Mukilteo, where there is a Lighthouse Park. It was surprisingly still closed at 7 AM \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
After a romantic walk in the fog, we took the car ferry to Clinton. The Puget Sound area is fantastic and worth every mile. We gathered mussels at Saratoga Passage but didn't take them because the crab was still at least partially attached. In Oak Harbor, you could then buy clean mussels with no dead animals inside.<\/p>\n
In this picturesque harbor town, we found an Italian man serving delicious American food. Yummy!<\/p>\n
By the way, everyone was unusually friendly. Is the customer really still king in the USA? We'll find out in the coming weeks. After a short drive, we reached Deception Pass State Park at... Deception Pass \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
There we relaxed at Cranberry Lake. Yummy! Since the swimming season here ends at the end of September, we just relaxed. The Deception Pass Bridge, which goes over the... Deception Pass, was very impressive to see. If you're afraid of heights, you won't have fun here. We liked it because there weren't many people there as a result, and the view is gigantic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
We were almost back on our way home, the only thing keeping us awake was the outlet mall. After all, it's already 4:30 PM and we've been awake for 13 hours. Oops... After successful shopping, we headed back to the hotel. By 7 PM, we were already fast asleep.<\/p>\n
