On the banks of the rushing Landquart lies the Chopfwald Gr\u00fcsch. A stone's throw from the village of Schiers, a charming but shady place in the heart of the Vorderpr\u00e4ttigau region. I personally like this region because it offers beautiful excursion opportunities in both summer and winter. So this time I took a walk through the Chopfwald Gr\u00fcsch, whose beauty had unfortunately been unknown to me until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starting point for this hike is the ice rink in Gr\u00fcsch, right by the Gr\u00fcsch campsite. From there, you'll walk past the equestrian sports facility. Afterwards, you'll find a beautiful, straight, and pleasantly shaded path along the Landquart river that will lead you to Chopfwald. From there, it's a slight uphill climb. Unfortunately, because of this short section, the path is not stroller-accessible. We had it with us anyway, so I had to carry it up the hill. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You now reach a forest road that you follow downhill. After the shooting lodge, you cross the river and return to the ice sports center on the right side of the Landquart. The route is also great for Nordic walking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Detour to the Eretsloch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you want to extend your hike through the Chopfwald Gr\u00fcsch a bit, I definitely recommend a detour to the Eretsloch or Erezloch. I got lost doing so, as the signpost from the ice rink points along the mountain road. After a lap of honor (about 1 hour detour), I was back at the ice rink. Here I was able to solve the riddle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To reach the Erezloch, take the road to the works yard, directly opposite the campsite. It's really easy once you know! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Von hier aus l\u00e4ufst du am Werkhof und Sch\u00fctzenhaus vorbei und folgst dann den Wegweisern „Erezloch“. Das Eretsloch Gr\u00fcsch erreichst du in etwas 30 Minuten Gehzeit. Hier oben wurde bis zum 16. Jahrhundert nach Erz gesucht. Ob je gefunden wurde, ist eher unbekannt. Da der Stollen nur 12 m tief ist, gehe ich eher davon aus, dass es beim Versuch geblieben ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can walk into the mine and imagine how it was dug with the simplest means. After a good break, I make my way back. This detour is not suitable for younger children, by the way. It's simply too steep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
