A very varied hike is the Sertig Waterfall hike, which leads from Restaurant Zum Bergf\u00fchrer on an easy path directly to the wonderful Ducan Waterfall. I walked this trail for the first time today with my family, and we had a wonderful day there. This hike clearly belongs in the category of excursion tips with 10 points and more for Graub\u00fcnden<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Davos, you can reach Sertig D\u00f6rfli by car in 20 minutes. By post bus, it takes a little longer, and you can catch it hourly on line 8 (as of 2020-07-12) from Davos Platz to Sertig D\u00f6rfli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Up on Restaurant Zum Bergf\u00fchrer<\/a> angekommen, l\u00e4ufst du auf mehr oder weniger gerader Strecke Richtung Wasserfall. Es gibt einen Weg der mit „Fussg\u00e4nger“ markiert und beschildert ist. Dieser ist selbstverst\u00e4ndlich sch\u00f6ner als die Strasse. Wir sind den Weg mit Kinderwagen gelaufen, w\u00fcrden dir aber raten mit Kinderwagen doch eher die Strasse zu nehmen, was wir auf dem R\u00fcckweg auch taten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Sertig Wasserfall Wanderung in Graub\u00fcnden ist kinderwagentauglich, bis ca. 100 m vor dem Wasserfall. Die Wanderzeit wird mit 30 Minuten angegeben, was auch gut passt…wenn du keine Kids dabei hast \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3.8 km trail (round trip!!) leads past the beautiful Sertig stream and across meadows and pastures, surrounded by the mighty Alps of Pr\u00e4ttigau. Upon arriving in Sertig Sand, you will pass the Hotel Walserhuus<\/strong> and continue walking towards the waterfall, which is very well signposted. From here, however, you can already see the waterfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Sertig Valley, the K\u00fchalp, Ducan, and Alpelibach streams merge to form the Sertigbach. This flows to Davos Frauenkirch, where it empties into the Landwasser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since there's already so much to discover, we'll have an extensive picnic right after turning towards the waterfall, directly by the river. The kids can play there for a while. Since Sertig is at 1850 m, it's relatively cool here with about 18 degrees in mid-July and right by the water, which is why we'll continue after eating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duncan Waterfall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ducan Waterfall (Sertig Waterfall) is by far one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen in Graub\u00fcnden. We spend some time here doing a photoshoot \ud83d\ude42 and the kids throw almost all the stones lying around into the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gegen Nachmittag machen wir uns auf den R\u00fcckweg und stellen fest…die eine Stunde Hin- und R\u00fcckweg sind definitiv ohne Kids gerechnet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Sertig Waterfall hike is a great destination if you're in Pr\u00e4ttigau, but it's also definitely worth it if you're coming from Chur. It's a family-friendly hike in Graub\u00fcnden and especially suitable for strollers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
