Green juice for more energy

Spring is just around the corner. Green juice for more energy! What could be better? That's why I have a recipe for a really good green juice for more energy for you here. Especially when you're „getting back into“ sports now, you should provide your body with enough energy. In a natural way, you give your body all the necessary minerals, vitamins, and trace elements. Green juices are particularly rich in these. Micronutrients, in contrast to macronutrients (fats, carbohydrates, and proteins) do not provide the body with direct They provide energy, yet are essential for the human and also the animal organism. In case of a deficiency, you directly feel how limp and weak you are.

In my contribution to Mean Green Juice, I've written you a lot more details and info on the effects of green juices.

Preparation for 2 Liters of Green Juice for More Energy

It's important that you wash all the ingredients thoroughly. I prefer to buy everything organic, but that's up to each person, of course. And sometimes, of course, you can't get everything organic. A green juice for more energy made from conventionally grown fruits and vegetables is still better than no green juice. =)

2 cucumbers
6 Celery stalks
4 green apples (sweet or sour)
400 g fresh spinach
2 lemons
approx. 3 cm ginger
Refill with fresh spring water

By the way, the juice contains neither bananas nor kiwis. That's just decoration in the picture =)

Hurom Juicer

I use a so-called slow juicer for juicing. It crushes the juice out of the fruit and vegetables without cutting them and thus heating them. It's comparable to cold-pressed olive oil. You get the highest quality and can clearly taste and feel it in the flavor and creaminess. I've been using a Hurom Slow Juicer HH for several years. It's very easy to clean (just with clear water), as long as you don't start the cleaning process a day later 🙂 and the juice tastes excellent.

Even after several years, this juicer still works flawlessly. It's mostly used once a week, as we also have a high-speed juicer and a blender.

On the Hurom Website find further data and information that will help you with your choice. But there are of course many other good brands. It's best to always look at the test results. You can't go wrong in the end.

Which juicer should you use?

That's a matter of taste, of course. You should know: a slow juicer, as the name suggests, takes longer than a high-speed juicer. High-speed juicers are the ones normally used. They cost a good 70% less than slow juicers, but the taste is also correspondingly a bit flatter. I like to take my time and wait for my delicious green juice.

For a slow juicer, you need to cut the vegetables and fruits into small pieces or at least into strips. With a high-speed juicer, on the other hand, you can process whole apples 🙂 Read up on this online. There are many review sites and "best-of" lists, so you should be able to find your favorite device.

Green juice for more energy - Good knife

By the way, I'm currently using a great knife for cutting fruit. The Panorama Knife, with the theme Lenzerheide/Arosa. The knife not only looks cool, but also cuts incredibly well. The blade, which depicts the peaks of the corresponding region, wears down more slowly than ordinary smooth blades.

Juice shelf life

The juice will keep in the refrigerator for approximately 72 hours (3 days). Of course, it tastes best fresh, but the flavor only diminishes minimally. I exclusively use glass bottles for filling juices. Otherwise, you should use BPA-free plastic bottles. Another tip for on the go. Especially in the summer, you can simply freeze the juice. Make sure not to fill the bottle completely 🙂 This way, your juice will stay fresh for a long time throughout the day.

And now some photos showing the preparation and the result. Green juice for more energy. Cheers and here's to you 🙂
