Hawaii Day 26: Kalapaki Beach, Poipu Beach (2014-10-21)

Hawaii Day 26: Our first beach day is on the agenda today. We already tested the hotel's own beach the day before, so we drove a few minutes to the Marriott. and lay down in the sun there. Kalapaki Beach was great for relaxing, and the sea was particularly calm, as the beach is located in a sheltered bay. Besides, there were no tourists here, and apparently no hotel guests either. Where is everyone?

Around noon, we then continued on to Poipu. The names here in Hawaii are sometimes quite strange and funny. Poipu is located in the direction of Eleele and you drive past Nawiliwili Road. Haha... The beach here is considerably larger and the waves here are about 2 meters high. Still good for swimming.

There are many snorkelers here. We have to try that sometime. Especially great was the rain, which was warmer than the sea.

However, that naturally didn't keep us dry anymore. Damn it!

So we went shopping completely soaked. The air conditioning in the car helped very little. No matter, shopping is a must, even on a beach day.

By chance, there was a market here today and we were able to buy the freshest fruit, practically straight from the tree.

So for dinner tonight there were super juicy mangoes, a fresh pomelo, passion fruit, and something delicious and unidentifiable.

Since relaxing like this makes you incredibly tired, the day was already over around 8 PM *yawn*
