Hawaii Day 32: After breakfast, we drove to „The Coffee Bean“ in Kapaa for some really good coffee. We wrote some postcards here again for The ones who stayed home.
At 12:30 PM, we must already be at the port „Port Allen“ because we want to see the Na Pali Coast from the sea today. We've already seen it from the air.
We got a tip that we should book the Mercedes of catamarans. So we did! It's the biggest, heaviest, and newest catamaran on the island. Just good enough for us 🙂
The ride is very exciting, as the surf is particularly strong today. You can already feel that the surf season is about to begin, which is why there are only a few tours left.
We moved as far forward as possible and enjoyed the ride. The many flying fish we disturbed were funny. In between, there was fresh pineapple and cocktails, as the bar had now opened on board.
In total, we'll be traveling for 2 hours to our first stop. The view is impressively beautiful. The colors are even more intense now than from the air. We see the cave from Pirates of the Caribbean 4, and some of the scenes are still familiar from Jurassic Park. Now it's time for a culinary dinner. We're having scampi skewers, fresh salads, and beef. Everything is, of course, from the island and the sea, and served with a sunset. Perfect.
Funnily enough, a couple from Zurich was sitting next to us, so we weren't the only Europeans this time.
On the way back, dolphins accompanied us, and they enjoyed swimming in the boat's wake. It was very romantic. For the rest of the trip, we relaxed on the bridge, exchanging a few words with the captain.
The sunset over the sea is unique. Even more beautiful than seeing it from land.
Back at the hotel, we both fell asleep immediately. It was only 9 PM 🙂
