Today, I'd like to introduce you to a great companion for sports, but also an ideal breakfast smoothie. My Power Smoothie with bananas and chia seeds, which I I most like to drink in the morning because it gives me really good power for the day.
It contains bananas, chia seeds, and a nut milk. I prefer cashew milk, which I make myself beforehand with a blender. Not only are the banana and nuts a good energy source, but chia seeds are also packed with energy, mainly protein. These seeds stimulate your metabolism, as your body needs to expend more energy to digest proteins compared to carbohydrates. Furthermore, you'll even feel full for quite a while with this smoothie.
Preparation time: approx. 5 minutes (if you make the milk yourself)
Recipe:
2 bananas
1 tablespoon chia seeds (15 g)
500 ml cashew milk (approx. 100 g kernels + 2 cups water)
